WHAT CAN WE EARN?
Matthew 19: 27-30; The reward of following Jesus. When we read this scripture, than we see what the reward is of following Jesus. That we will have eternal life. But also that what we all left for Jesus. And there is something strange in vers 30, "But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first." The Holy Spirit revealed me by this scripture that it is no matter how long that you are saved, but if you are saved. Thus, if you receive it (the reward) or not. When you read than in Matthew 20: 1-16 something becomes clear, Those who had worked from the early morning till evening, and those who had worked from the afternoon till evening, and those who worked only for one hour received the all the same reward. In our worldly thinking it looks not honest for us, but when we think as our heavenly Father, who thinks quite different, we will understand that is is about reaching a goal, and that goal is to be eternal with Him. Therefore you must run the race, like Paul said in Hebr. 12: 1"Therefore let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." It is important that one time we run, we keep on running, because if we give up, everything is lost. So stepp into the race on the moment when you hear the gospel. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the Author and Perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. We most go to endure, don't struggle, don't give up, run the race and win. Dr. Robert van Heulen
